Parents of the Bride

Meeting in 1984 at an Iowa State party, Kathy and Curt were married in 1987. They were the couple’s model of a successful long-distance relationship as Kathy and Curt also lived apart while finishing degrees and starting their careers before moving to Lincoln, NE to start their family. Enjoying time spent together outdoors, they always have the best camping destination and gear advice for Casey and Mike. The couple most admire Kathy and Curt’s dedication to presenting a united front, their shared humor through strife or challenges, and their attitudes of self-sacrifice on behalf of their children and hope to mirror those qualities in their future marriage.

Parents of the Groom

Meeting in Windsor, Ontario in 1982 through mutual high school friends, Bev and Larry married in 1988 after years of long-distance while pursuing their first degrees. After moving to the United States and raising their children they currently reside just outside Auburn in Alabama. As professors, their love of learning gets channeled into everything from travel to transforming their homes and gardens through renovations they tackle together. Mike and Casey most admire their steadfast support of one another, the way they nurture each other’s independent passions, and the selfless love they’ve given their family. Qualities the couple is committed to carrying into their own marriage.

Our Nephews

The absolute jewels of our hearts, these two will never fail to get a laugh (and a pack of fruit snacks) out of their adoring crowd! We’re not sure they’ll be up to bearing anything… but we cannot wait to celebrate with them!
